About Us

Hello, I’m Doc and I would love to be your local neighborhood butcher. Established in 2020, South Milwaukee Sausage and Meats (or SMx2 as we call it) started as a place for me to bring quality and fresh beef, pork, chicken and sausage to the south side of Milwaukee. My career spans 15 years, spending a majority of my time along the north shore. I hand craft each and every batch of sausage, burgers, and marinated meats in small batches.

My long time friends had been encouraging me to start a sausage business for many years. They reached out to me in June of 2020 with the location we now occupy. What sealed the deal was the Crusher statue right up the road. As we began, we heard many stories of previous butcher shops that have come and gone. One in particular has given us their blessing–we are the closest Polish sausage recipe they have ever tasted.
